The Chemistry Council of Missouri
(CCM) is an association of chemical industries located in the state of
Missouri.
CCM member companies work together with our associate member companies
for continuous improvement of the chemical industry through education,
advocacy, and communication. CCM is dedicated to building a greater relationship
between manufacturing firms, chemical plants, legislative officials, and
citizens of Missouri.

1. Serve as a voice for the chemical process industry
2. Advocate balanced positions to state legislators and regulators
3. Provide educational and outreach programs that develop an interest
in science education
4. Provide Outreach programs to the community at large
5. Provide a forum to share information on best practices
6. Provide current, relevant information on the status of legislative
and regulatory issues affecting chemical process industries of Missouri.
- Increase meeting participation by 30%
- Conduct program member meetings with speakers
and topics including "best practices"
- Conduct Annual Meeting in June to include
committee presentations and speakers
- Effectively use American Chemistry Council
(ACC) programs and funding
- Conduct awareness meetings with state legislators
and agencies
- Support CAP programs
- Promote responsible security and transportation
programs
- Invite Federal and State Legislators on Plant
Tours
- Redevelop and implement an improved Teachers,
Industry and the Environment Workshop
- Development and implement youth and educator
outreach programs
- Seek more involvement from other industry
groups
- Meet with legislators on current issues
- E-mail reports and hearing notices, and present oral
briefings
- Advocating industry positions through testimony
and written statements
- Encourage member companies to host Plant Tours
- Communicate more effectively with membership
through website and broadcast e-mail
- Identify non-member manufacturers
- Develop recruitment visits or meetings
- Investigate inter-organizational outreach
- Update CCM information packets
- Identify areas of cost effectiveness
- Raise additional dues revenues
- Submit Committee budgets by October 1 for
following year
- Seek grants where available for CCM programs
- Build relationships that will encourage new
members
